| We're back from Mexico! We had a good time. If I have the time I will translate and upload our journal entries ... yes, translate! We wrote our journal in Spanish for the whole two weeks. I think my written spanish improved more than my verbal spanish on our trip :)
We're glad to be home though. Now I have to catch up on my two courses. (sigh) The work is never done!
I will also upload some pictures once I get a chance.

| It's sunny and warm outside.
I'm sitting on my patio with a cup of tea.
Zazu's in his cage on the table beside me. He's chirping away to the other birds.
We have 5 sprouts in the trough infront of me, the clematis is growing up a storm, and the rest of the plants are exploding with life.
Things are pretty good.

| Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us: it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear Our presence automatically liberates others.

| I've seen two movies in the last two days, one was a preview, the other I paid for...
The preview I saw on Monday was for a movie called Tsotsi. It's about a gang leader in South Africa who steels a car only to discover a baby in the back seat. I thought it was really good, and it was a multi-sensory experience. In addiction to the suspenseful (in the 'I hope this guy is all right' sort of way, rather than an 'oh my god what's going to happen next' sort of way) storyline, the visuals and soundtrack were excellent. I'd recommend this movie whenever it comes out. There are a few scenes of violence, but the movie is a drama, not an action, and so the emphasis isn't on the brutality so much, which makes it a little more bearable. I felt the movie had excellent potential for some rj at the end, but I guess that's just me. Maybe it wouldn't have been 'realistic'.
The movie I saw last night was Brokeback Mountain. I highly doubt I need to provide a link to it, because it's so highly acclaimed, but just in case, here. I thought this too was a good movie. I didn't buy their love until much later in the film than I was supposed to, but at the same time I can't pinpoint when I actually started believing they were really in love. I thought both actors did a really good job, and I'm surprised I've only heard praise about Heath Ledger. Maybe it's because he's better known than the other guy. What was most surprising to me was the performance by Michelle Williams. I've never considered her a real actress. I've only seen her in a few movies, but of course she's best known for her roll on Dawson's Creek. I thought she did a pretty good job in this one...
Today I'm going to continue with the school work, and then I've got my Family Court/Youth Justice Committee Meeting in the evening. Yay!
